Capital Dynamics is an independent funds management group with roots in Asia and has consistently outperformed the markets. We have recently set up our Sydney office in line with our global expansion plans. As a value investor, we seek high returns with low risks and avoid derivatives, short selling and borrowings.

Capital Dynamics Australia is looking to recruit an Accountant for its new operations. As part of a small team, you will perform a broad range of duties.

Your role will include:

• Fulfilling the monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounting requirements;
• Preparing reports essential for the effective management of the business, including budgets, forecasts, and timely reconciliations;
• Handling payroll & superannuation and tax matters such as GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, etc;
• Dealing with our external auditor and tax agent;
• Assisting the GM in compliance and administrative matters;
• Developing procedures and controls for the business.

You should have +3 years accounting experience, be degree qualified. Candidates who are CPA qualified or close to qualification are preferred. Some previous experience in the funds management industry is essential, and familiarity with reporting requirements and deadlines to ASIC is an advantage.

As the company’s only accountant, you need to be justifiably confident, be able to work independently and be extremely well organised. There will be opportunities to gain further exposure to project based activities and increasing involvement with regional and international issues.
